"SourFaux"

Watch out for “sourfaux” - real sourdough does not contain  baker’s yeast and artificial additives.

The raising agent used to make sourdough crackers, crisps and bread is known as a starter or ferment, and is made with just two ingredients – flour and water. Given the time to let nature work its magic, this simple gloop ferments into a bubbling ecosystem of wild yeasts. Here at PlainTasty, we use a quality wholemeal dark rye with water and nothing else.

Our artisan bakers trust only natural ingredients to make the tangiest, tastiest, crispest Rysp for our discerning customers.
